Our Blue Orpington chicks are now two weeks old. They’re very different from the Cornish we raised last time!

They’re smaller, of course, but they’re also much more active. They’re curious, but also catious and easily panicked. They eat less and produce much less poop, which is sure nice!

They’re also louder, and exhibit much more of what I think of as normal chicken behaviour, like scratching. They LOVE to scratch thru their bedding, getting it all over the place, but also saving me the trouble of fluffing it up.

Plus they’re just so gosh-darn pretty!!
